Our 2024 Joyful Kitties MKAL includes a Quilt style Afghan and matching Pillow, featuring 10 darling Kitties!

Knit in Garter Stitch with simple Intarsia, the Heart Coaster in this Intro Download is a great way to become familiar with my fun technique! The Intro also includes information about yarn amounts and colors needed for the MKAL Afghan and Pillow. Individual Kitty Squares are knit using Worsted Weight yarn in 2 different Background colors.

With my technique of Garter Stitch Intarsia, all the Rows are knit, instead of purling the color changes on the back, which can be slow and not as neat. Every WS Row is a repeat of the RS Row, so you can work the WS more easily. Best of all, Garter Stitch fabric is lovely and squishy and doesn’t need to be blocked!
