Joyous Winter
Joyous Winter is a generous shawl knit with Leizu DK from Julie Asselin. The body of the shawl creates a nice textured balace between garter stitch and eyelet rows. The border is knit sideways with optional beading.
I knit this in the fall prior to a trip to New Orleans for my high school reunion. On my last day there, I did a photoshoot in the scuplture garden at City Park. While trying to arrange my shawl on a statue, I banged my head my head on it and got a concussion. Who said knitting wasn’t a contact sport. It has taken me many months to recover and be able to finalize this pattern. During my period of recovery, I have enjoyed the warmth and comfort of this shawl.
I hope that you enjoy knitting it as much as I did and that it too will bring you comfort.
Thank you very much to my test knitters.
Pattern free with purchase of 3 skeins of leizu dk (or equivalent yarn to knit this shawl) from Mont Tricot
