#NOELLEVEST

The Jr Noelle Vest is a unisex kids vest with a classic tartan pattern inspired by the 1940s. Tartan is especially fun to play around with, as it creates a very effectful aesthetic depending on your colour choices! You can make it christmassy (like me), adjust your colours to make it fin any season you like, or go for your little ones favorite colours for a season-less classic!
Perfect over a shirt or dress for dressing up your little one, or for chilly days. It is worked bottom up, in the round until the armholes. The faux button band is picked up at the end.
The adult version is worked in Athena and a strand Mohair Silk, but I strongly dislike using Mohair for babies as it gets everywhere and might be itchy, so this version is worked in only Athena.
However, if you know your child is ok with Mohair or you have an older child, a strand of Mohair will make the vest both warmer and pleasantly fuzzy! Note that this will change the gauge to 18 st(s) per 10 cm, giving the vest more ease so you should size down.

A note on yarn quantity for the stripes: My testers all ended up with different quantities uses for the stripes (even when working the same size), depending on how many vertical stripes they did and what colour combination they ended up doing. As such the above is an estimate.
