Judith Cardigan
Welcome the Judith Cardigan. The name comes from one of my favorite women Judith who saved her people by beheading a man, she was brave when no one else was. It’s a year-round wear, originally made with cotton but would be amazing with any fiber for any season.
Construction:
The back yoke stitches are cast on, there are increases every row to create the shoulder section. Once the increases are finished the yoke is knit plain until the armhole depth. The front pieces are worked, knitting from the chart and increasing for the front pieces. Once the armhole depth is reached the front and back pieces are connected and the cardigan is worked flat until your desired length. The sleeves are knit plain in the round. The button band is done with double knitting and so is the collar.
