With my mother in law’s 60th birthday around the corner, I decided to make her a beautiful afghan blanket in her favorite color. I came up with this simple easy to follow pattern featuring the single crochet and double crochet stitches. This blanket uses a size I crochet hook, 10 balls of medium worsted weight yarn (main color) and 1 ball of medium worsted weight yarn in white. This blanket works up pretty quickly (for a blanket). I worked off and on a couple hours a day and it took me about 2 weeks to complete. The final blanket measures 59″ X 50″.
