JudyB
This is a shawl I created and dedicated to my sister who is the best sister anyone could ever have and who I miss terribly because we are much too far apart. Elegant, just as my sister, JudyB is a simple crescent shaped shawl knit with silk and cashmere to give it drape and a touch of luxury wrapped around your shoulders. She is knit in garter stitch with lace and reversible cables using short rows to give her that unique shape.
Finished dimensions after washing and blocking:
Approximately 17.5“/95 cm high and 51“/130 cm wide. The wingspan is about 67”/170 cm when pulled straight.
Skill Level: beginner/intermediate
Yarn: Approximately 750 yards (685m) of sport weight yarn, I used 2 skeins of Madelintosh, Pashmina 720.0 yards (658.4m) in the color forestry from www.yarnoverberlin.de
Needles: US 6/4 mm
Notions: stitch markers
Gauge: 20 sts/ inches per 4”/10 cm after blocking in garter stitch, although gauge is not important, but your final dimensions and yardage requirements may vary if your gauge is different.
