I wanted to teach a friend how to do a ripple stitch, but couldn’t find a good, free, VERY simple dishcloth size pattern. So I wrote one myself.

Don’t worry too much about gauge or stitch density. The important thing is to use a hook that is comfortable for you. If the size “I” is too small, move up a size. If you crochet very loosely and it is winding up way too large, subtract 11 from the starting chain and leave out the repeat.
