This headband has linings in garter stitch and I-cord respectively, which renders one end looser and one tighter, for a perfect, snug fit. No wind will disturb your ears!

The body of the headband has fairisle colorwork, inspired by Jugend (Art Nouveau) shapes.

The pattern comes in one size but can be adjusted by selection of needle size. The pattern uses 4.5mm needles. You can use any worsted weight yarn. I used two different brands, but that is no necessity. The colors used should be contrasting well. I think it looks nice if the main color is a little variegated but be cautious not to use a contrasting color that’s included in the variegated; that will hide the colorwork.

It’s a small project that can use up scrap yarn and can be finished in an afternoon. Perfect as a gift!
