I named this hat for my father. The texture above the brim is intended to evoke the Great Smokey Mountains, the Appalachian range which my father loves deeply.

This is a fairly simple and quick knit. Designed for Monarch Knitting in Pacific Grove, CA, and specifically for use with Malabrigo Rios, though it would be beautiful in many other worsted or DK weight yarns. This pattern only requires approximately 150 yards.
