Two slightly different designs are offered in this pattern: one is a single-sided shell edged design for making a choker necklace; the other, a double-sided shell edged design for use as either a choker necklace, headband, or fitted waistline belt with a back closure for wearing with blouses and dresses.

All are made with crochet thread and optionally, may be embellished with small pearl beads along the edges.

Adjustment calculations are provided for customizing item length. These calculations are based upon the U.S. measurements system.
