Using just knits and purls, bring to life an American flag in the center of this washcloth.

NOTE: I like the way a seed stitch border lays and the texture it provides for scrubbing. You could easily replace it with a garter stitch border instead if you prefer. To do so, knit rows 1-3, knit the first three and last three stitches on rows 4-34 and knit rows 35-37

This pattern would also be suitable for a potholder/trivet
