July Gloves
by Mel Clark
Gloves in July? I live in the southern hemisphere where July is the middle of winter, but I actually named these gloves after the heroine of one of my favorite books, The Long Song, by Angela Levy.
They’re worked in the round for the wrist, thumb and fingers, but back and forth for the hand which has a lace panel and and opening which is finished with small bobbles. The bobbles are sewn together at intervals to create an openwork effect.
