The Jumbo Easter Egg is a quick, fun make. This is a PDF pattern.

This Easter egg pattern is perfect for making your own Easter decor or to make as a gift.

This is an EASY pattern.

Gauge is NOT important. Size is easily customizable by using bulkier yarns to make larger eggs.

A specific yarn is not recommended. The pattern was designed so that you can use yarn that you already have on hand. I’ve made the eggs using different brands and different weights including Medium #4, Bulky #5 and Super Bulky #6 along with the hook size indicated for the yarn weight.

The smallest egg using #4 yarn is about 6.5” tall, the medium egg using #5 yarn is about 8.5” tall and the largest egg using Super Bulky #6 is about 11” tall. I encourage you to try different yarns and weights to create one of a kind eggs.

I’ve also included extra tips on how to make two-toned eggs or what to do if you don’t have any bulky yarn on hand.
