Jumbo no bother boot slippers
These are super-chunky version of my very popular No bother boot slippers which are knit with two strands of aran.
Slippers are meant to be easy to make: and these are so simple and fast to make that they are no bother at all. They also have the advantage of an interesting and novel construction; top down, in the round and seamless yet with no picking up of stitches or short rows and no heel to turn. Just knit all the way.
Plus these are no bother to wear; they stay on well. And because they are thick and cosy enough to keep your feet warm on the coldest of stone floors.
Sizing
These are actual foot sizes. Choose the size closest to your actual size (the pattern contains negative ease)
To fit foot sizes:
19cm-20.5/7 ½-8in in circumference and foot length 22-23cm/8 ¾ -9in
21-22cm/8 ¼ - 8 ¾ in circumference and foot length 23.5-24.5cm/9 ¼ -9 ¾ in
23-24cm/9-9 ½ in circumference and foot length 25.5-26.5cm/10-10 ½
25-25.5cm/9 ¾ -10 in circumference and foot length 27-28cm/10 ¾ -11 in
The pattern also contains a basic % formula for custom sizing.
A couple of points on fit: there’s quite a lot of negative ease built in to make these fit close like a sock and the cuff is meant to be really quite close fitting to hold the boot up firmly. If you are on the borderline for a size or are near the top end of a size and want to wear them with an extra pair of socks, consider making the next size up, particularly if your yarn has less give than pure wool.
