Jump Rope Blanket
The Jump Rope Blanket is a fun Mile-A-Minute project that is worked up in long strips, like a long jump rope, that are then crocheted together to form the blanket. This pattern is inspired by the long purple jump ropes that the kids used to use at recess when I was in elementary school. Whether the jumping was simple or complex, it was always fun to take turns swinging the ropes, singing songs, and jump, jump, jumping!
The Jump Rope Blanket is the third pattern in my “Fun & Games Collection” for 2019. The traditional Mile-A-Minute technique has been updated to include modern bulky yarn and a simple repeating pattern that can be used even by beginners. The easy to memorize repeat will have you “jumping” through this pattern in no time!
