This PDF leaflet features a basic pattern for a knitted jumper/ sweater to suit 2 sizes of Cabbage Patch Babies - 14 inch Babies and 11 inch Newborns, or similar size dolls or toys.
Then there are 8 variations, including something for all tastes.
Included are simple stripes, all-over lace pattern, embroidery, stitch patterns, cables, textured pattern, color blocking and different neck and hem styles.
The components of the variations can be mixed and matched for even more variety, for example picot hems on a lace pattern jumper. Also included are patterns for basic leggings and footed leggings so you can make complete outfits

The patterns are basically the same for both sizes. The smaller patterns are knitted in 4 ply / fingering / sock yarn, and the larger sizes are knitted in 8 ply / Double Knitting / Light Worsted yarn.

Sizing**
Small /Newborn size - To fit a Cabbage Patch Newborn or similar size doll or toy - height approximately 27 cm (11 inches ) and chest approximately 25 cm (9 & ¾ inches)
Large/ Baby Size - To fit a Cabbage Patch Baby or similar size doll or toy - height approximately 35 cm (14 inches) and chest approximately 28 cm (10 & ¾ inches)

The larger size will also fit 14 inch Kids, such as the Mattel Cabbage Patch Kids, but the sleeves will need to be made about 1 cm (½ inch) longer.

Tension / Gauge
4 ply - 28sts to 10 cm / 4 inches over stocking stitch using size 3.25 mm (US 3, UK 10) needles
8 ply - 22sts to 10 cm / 4 inches over stocking stitch using size 4.00 mm (US 6, UK 8) needles
