Juniper is an unbelievably soft, wrap-style vest; perfect for warding off chills. This pattern was inspired as an eco-friendly alternative to a poly fleece vest. Because it’s knit with plush yarn full of texture, the design is clean, simple, and quick! Start with the upper back a la Cocoknits Method, and knit down to the underarm. Each front is picked up along the shoulder slopes and knitted separately down to the underarm where everything is joined and finished seamlessly. Wear it open or add a cord to overlap the fronts and tie it closed.

BEFORE PURCHASING THIS PATTERN
This vest is worked using a modified Cocoknits Method, a commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. The Cocoknits Method is explained in detail in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger, in her On Demand Classes, and in tutorials on cocoknits.com.
All of the page numbers in this pattern refer to pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, where the techniques are explained in detail. Some knitters find that they can learn the new-to-them techniques with our free knit tutorials, while others are more comfortable purchasing an On Demand Class, or the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book, available on our website and at many local yarn stores.

NOTE: Row gauge for both versions is 16 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st on largest needles. It is not terribly important, if it is too difficult to measure, follow directions for measurement rather than row count where it is given.
