The Juniper Berry Cardigan is an oversized garment inspired by Juniper trees, and their dusty blue berries. This cardigan is extra cozy from the texture of the Alpine Stitch, and gives the fabric a lovely warmth. This cardigan works up quickly due to the Treble and Double Crochets in the body, and is suitable for an advanced beginner. As a final touch, the edging features the Bead Stitch to put those juniper berries into the piece. This cardigan is crocheted in 2 panels for the body, and a panel for each sleeve. These parts are seamed together before the edging and cuffs are crocheted on.

Materials
Yarn - Hue + Me, bulky/category 5 (137yds/4.4oz, 125m/125g), 80/20% Acrylic/Wool
You will need 2 colors total.
-MC = Juniper
-CC = Agave
Substitutes : Any other bulky/category 5 yarn will work.
Crochet Hook - L (8.00mm) or correct hook to meet gauge
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Tape Measure
Stitch Markers

Experience Level = Advanced Beginner (level 2)
You will need to know how to Chain, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet, Treble Crochet, Puff Stitch, and crochet in the round.

Yarn substitutes.
Any other bulky (category 5) will work. Always check gauge if changing yarn weights.

9 STS x 7 Rows = 4” x 4” square in pattern below.

CH 11
Row 1 : DC in 3rd CH from hook. DC in every CH. CH 1. Turn. (9 STS)
Row 2 : SC in each ST across. CH 2. Turn. (9 STS)
Row 3 : DC in 1st ST. FPTR around the ST 2 rows below. DC in next ST. Repeat … until end of row. CH 1. Turn. (9 STS)
Row 4 : SC in each ST across. CH 2. Turn. (9 STS)
Row 5 : DC in 1st ST. DC in next ST. FPTR around the ST 2 rows below. DC in next ST. Repeat … until 1 ST remains. DC in last ST. CH 1. Turn. (9 STS)
Repeat Rows 2 - 5 until the swatch reaches 4”.

Yardage (main color) - 975, 1035, 1100, 1220, 1300, 1340, 1400, 1450, 1625
Yardage (contrasting color) - 345 for all sizes

Fit
The Juniper Cardigan is designed to fit oversized. The cardigan has 6” of positive ease throughout the body. The length of this cardigan will rest just below the hips depending on your torso length. If you want a more fitted cardigan, then choose the next size down from your usual size.
