Materials
DK weight yarn or any yarn that creates a fabric you like Yardage will vary depending on gauge and size made
Sample used 684 yds of Blame the Knots hand-dyed 100% baby alpaca sport weight yarn (291 yds per 100g) held with 689 yds of Blame the Knots hand-dyed 74% baby suri alpaca 26% silk lace weight yarn (328 yds per 50g)
Tester yardage and modifications can be viewed here to give you a good starting point!
US I /5.5 mm crochet hook (or hook size that creates a fabric you like)
Several removable stitch markers
Darning needle
Gauge
Sample was made with a gauge of 12 stitches and 12 rows = 4” / 10 cm in hdc, blocked on US I /5.5 mm hook
This gauge is only a suggestion and you can use whatever hook size and yarn weight you like to create your ideal fabric. This piece is entirely made to measure, so you have total control! However, this means that a gauge swatch will be very important.
TIP: Gauge swatches should be at least 5” / 12.5 cm square to get an accurate measurement of your gauge
Sizing
Meant to be worn with 0-4” / 0-10 cm of positive ease at the fullest part of the bust
This pattern is made to measure, so you can make absolutely any size you like!
A spreadsheet with tester yardage can be found here.
