Here the first piece of my solar system project : JUPITER !
Thanks to the site web Crochet Sphere Calculator for generating the sphere pattern.

The size/gauge doesn’t matter, do as big/small you want.
I have used :

• Crochet 3.75 mm
• 4 colors of yarns (beige, white, “dark” beige and orange). Beige and white are worsted yarn and the 2 others are aran (because i didn’t have the choice when i did it, but i guess you should keep same type of yarn for a better result).
• Tapestry Needle

Jupiter is 9 cm diamiter. Adjust type/size of yarn/crochet if you want bigger or smaller.

The full instruction are in french and english. The blablah is in french but the pattern is in french-english : Tour = Row, Couleur = Color, the rest is english term using US terminology (inc, dec, st, sc, fasten off). Start with a magic loop and work in spiral.
