Scarf pattern “JUPITER”- fantasy crochet model, boho style, very easy to create, US terms

Following this pattern you’ll be able to crochet breathable but warm and cozy scarf. I’ve designed and crocheted this alpaca and wool scarf about 20 years ago, still love to use it. Unique combine of basic stitches. You can use yarn leftovers. Have some patience to make long foundation chain, no more other hard calculations needed. Perfect craft for the long flight by plane - just grab bamboo crochet hook!

PLEASE, NOTE that by buying this product you are not getting a scarf, but a PDF pattern of a scarf. You will get two types of instructions: short description (with abbreviations) and beginner- friendly tutorial (detailed step-by-step description with images). Also there is crochet diagram drawing and layout of the yarn color shades of the original model.
No refund on digital files.

This pattern is created for autumn/winter scarf to use with alpaca and wool yarns, a bit hairy textured and loose-twisted.

GARMENT SIZE AND DIMENSION:
Adult size. Rectangular shape. Finished scarf width - 27 cm (10 5/8 in); length - 210 cm (82 11/16 in) + approximately 7 cm (2 3/4 in) twisted fringes at each end = 224 cm (88 3/16 in).

SKILL LEVEL:
Beginner. You must know basic crochet stitches: chain, single crochet, double crochet, reversed single crochet (a.k.a. crab stitch).
For the best quality you need some experience to provide same crochet tension for each stitch. This is important not only for my pattern but for any other too.

MATERIALS:
Original model was made with loose-twisted 4-ply alpaca and wool/ alpaca yarns (of few brands), 1 skein or ball - approximately 100 m/ 50 g (109 yd/ 1 49/64 oz).
Used amount: about 500 g (17 41/64 oz) yarns of 9 different shades (10 new balls or skeins)
In the pattern you will find my yarn suggestions and the color arrangement, you can follow them… Or just feel free, close your eyes and take every next skein or ball randomly!

TOOLS:
Hooks G-6 (4 mm) and H-8 (5 mm); tapestry needle; measuring tape, scissors.
