Lettuce meet your newest fibre friend: Jürgen the super-sized (and super-suave) slug! This broccoli-bothering mammoth mollusc measures 27cm/10¾in in height and is knitted flat on a circular needle. Despite Jürgen’s size, simple shaping techniques make it easy to keep track of where you are in the pattern. They also ensure that your huggable slug’s fabulous frill curls up all by itself! Beet(root) that!

All the pieces are knitted flat and seamed afterwards so it’s a good idea to seam and stuff the pieces as you go along. Alternatively, with the exception of the base and the bow tie, every piece can be knitted in the round.

You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by a professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow! But, if you do get stuck, just message me - I aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours.

If you’d prefer to crochet your slug, great news! Just visit here for more details!

The boring bit…
This pattern is intended for personal use so it’s fine to print it out for personal use but please don’t sell it, share it on the internet or make multiple copies. What you can sell (more money for yarn – YAY!) is finished items made from this pattern so long as you’ve made them yourself and it’s not on a commercial basis. Please remember to credit me as the designer!

And finally…
I’d love to see your finished slug so please share him or her on Instagram and Ravelry!
