"Just-A-Beaver" Canada 150 Series
“Just-A-Beaver” is the first in the series of animals to celebrate the 150 Birthday of Canada on July 1 this year.
Sporting the maple leaf on his backside and the 150 logo on his tail, Just-A-Beaver is busy working on some tasty branches while he awaits the arrival of his mates for the party.
He is knit in Patons Astra and worked flat. His head and body are knit as one piece and his limbs and tail are worked last and added to the body.
The maple leaf intarsia is written out line for line in the instructions. The bright white front teeth add pizazz to this cute critter and the instructions are given for you to create them with ease.
This Beaver will soon be partying with other animals in this series. Benamin Brown Bear, Gigi Gopher, Sneaky Squirrel and Frisky Red Fox are all eager to thrill you as you prepare for the celebrations.
Enjoy everyone. These native Canadian animals are not all common knitting patterns and I hope that you will enjoy knitting them as much as I have enjoyed designing them all.
Hugs xo wendy
