The Just a Little Ribbing Beanie is crafted using corrugated ribbing, a colorwork technique where knits are done in one color and purls in another. This technique creates a striking ribbing with a beautiful contrast of color and texture, and it works well with various yarn weights. The beanie is knit in the round, starting with the brim.

The corrugated ribbing on the brim creates added warmth to the brim band, giving and added coziness to the ears. The decrease is a gradual decrease creating a fitted beanie that can be varied to create a taller version.

The pattern is very adaptable to various yarn weights and sizing preferences. It is written for worsted through super bulky and offers a number of variations for the cast on, ribbing, and brim finish.

Pattern details various cast on options, including video instruction for three different two color cast ons. It has an extensive section showing a variety of brim examples with a photo and written description.

Two colors of yarn are needed, a third can be used as shown in the variation options in the pattern.
