Whenever I finish a new pair of socks, it feels like magic. The seamless knitting and turning of the heel are just like alchemy.

This design especially gave me those magical feelings. The pretty lace panel down each side of the leg gives you just the right amount of interest. When you combine this with a perfectly contrasting heel and toe, they will fly off your needles!

This is the ideal design for that special skein of yarn that you’ve been hoarding.

There is plenty of joyous stocking stitch, which will show off your yarn beautifully and also frame your lovely lace panel.

Sock Details

The socks feature a pretty lace panel down the outside of each leg, which flows seamlessly from the customised ribbing. I used a traditional heel flap and gusset, and my Umbrella Heel. The pattern instructs you on how to knit these in a contrast colour.

Sizes

The pattern comes in 3 sizes - Small (56 sts), Medium (64 sts) and Large (72 sts). The lace pattern is both written and charted. The instructions are written for the magic loop method, but other methods can of course be used.

Yarn

The pattern sample uses a sock set of yarn that I dyed myself. The main colour is ‘Just Add Magic’, and the contrast is ‘Magicians Assistant’.
