This pattern is rated as intermediate. The stocking is worked top down, knitted flat using both intarsia and stranded knitting techniques until you reach the foot, which is worked in the round on double-pointed needles. The stocking includes a standard short-row heel and Kitchener stitch grafting at the toe. Pattern motifs are in chart format only. Letter/number charts are included to personalize your stocking.
The sample stocking was created using 1 ball each of red, green, and white Patons Beehive Astra. Oddments of black are required for lettering or numbers. Santa’s boots may also be knitted in black if you prefer.
