Just Breathe
9/25/20--I have updated the pattern to include a stitch chart to help you get started and also the yarn usage estimate. The instructions remain the same as in the original version.

I love crochet or knit patterns that allow you to feel calm, and relax, as you work through the rows. There is nothing more soothing than working on a project with an easy row repeat, and one that doesn’t challenge the mind too much. Sometimes we want a challenge and to use more mental energy, but at other times we want a project where we can relax and just breathe.
The Just Breathe scarf is another of my easy and relaxing crochet scarf patterns. The scarf is crocheted from side to side and starts and ends with a few stitches. Just Breathe has an asymmetrical boomerang shape, and is an easy and fast crochet project. After the first several rows, the stitch pattern is an easy four-row repeat that you can easily memorize, and then it moves to an easy two-row repeat. The rows are crocheted in diagonals, the double crochet stitches stack up on each other to form columns, and decorative points are formed on the bottom decrease edge.
I used one skein of the beautiful hand-dyed Lone Star Arts Armadillo Sock yarn in the color “Blossom”. This scarf is a perfect one skein project, using a skein of sock or fingering weight yarn of at least 415 yards.
So, find the color that calms your soul, relax and just breathe, and enjoy crocheting this easy and fast scarf pattern for yourself, or to give as a gift.
