The cool days of fall always have me digging through my wardrobe to find my stranded yoke sweaters. I love making them & wearing them!

Here is a stranded yoke sweater, with coordinating patterning for both little ones & adults

This design takes advantage of yarns like Mochi plus, Berroco Gina, & Noro Silk Garden that have long & gradual color changes, making the colorwork quick & satisfying.

These pullovers are worked from the bottom up, beginning with a tubular cast on in a contrasting color. Short rows are used to give a slight shirttail effect to the bottom of the adult sweater. The stranded yoke patterns, while not identical in the adult/child versions, are scaled to work well with their respective sizes.

Materials:

 Size US 6 (4.0mm) circular (16”)
 Size US 6 (4.0mm) set of double points
- Or size needed to achieve gauge -
Additionally, you may find it helpful to go up 1 needle size while working the stranded portion of the yoke, in order to maintain the correct gauge.
