I love abstract designs. They form their own patterns within patterns. They are versatile, endless and ageless.

This pattern was borne out of me simply doodling, following the lines on the grid and patterning just started forming.

For the purpose of demonstration I kept the colorway generic. I used Catania yarn by Schachenmayr in shades 00110 (Main Color) and 00105 (Alternate Color / Col B).

This is a very easy design if you are new to Interlocking Filet Crochet. The patterning in the design allows you to easily spot if you are venturing down the wrong path. It also introduces you to the use of solid stitches which gives more texture to the end project.
