Just Smile and Wave
“Just Smile and Wave Boys” is a favorite quote from some crazy penguins.
This pattern makes me smile, and it has a wave! ;-)
The blanket is reversible and can be made to any size.

I used a 5.5 mm hook, but I crochet tightly. You may want to adjust accordingly.
I worked with Ice Yarns Baby Merino held double.
If you want to use this yarn, you can purchase it from the manufacturer in Turkey. It is sold in packs of 6 balls (approx. 1300 yards) for US$7.99 ($1.33 a ball). The shipping from Turkey is a bit expensive, but I think that the price of the yarn makes the shipping cost tolerable. 8 packages of this yarn with postage to Florida would be about $84 or $1.75 per ball. Even working double, there will be yarn remaining.
My colors were: (yardage/grams is approximate) - remember, these totals are working doubled:
Black - #fnt2-26112 (400 grams - 1752 yds)
Red - #fnt2-26129 (120 grams - 525 yds)
Orange - #fnt2-26128 (180 grams - 790 yds)
Yellow - #fnt2-26127 (180 grams - 790 yds)
Green - #fnt2-26126 (180 grams - 790 yds)
Turquoise - #fnt2-26121 (180 grams - 790 yds)
Blue - #fnt2-26124 (180 grams - 790 yds)
Purple - fnt2-26118 (90 grams - 395 yds)
My yarn usage (before edging) should be about 1510 grams. I worked double, so it would be half that if I had worked with a single strand. My math shows that will be somewhere around 3300 yards of another yarn.
