Pattern includes instructions for 5 glove sizes (palm circumference-excluding thumb), which generally fit the following ages:

5 inch (2-3 years)
5.5 inch (3-4 years)
6 inch (4-5 years)
6.75 inch (5-8 years)
7.25 inch (8+ years)
