I’m a self-proclaimed word nerd. English major. Taught English for years. Big reader. I love words. But out of all the words I’ve read, I think “juxtaposed” might be one of my favorites. I wanted a knitting pattern that allowed me to use that word repeatedly.

Yarn: Fingering weight of your choice. I recommend a self-striping with wider stripes or a variegated.
Model: Lollipop Yarns 75/25 Sock in the Smile colorway; approximately 50-70 grams
Needles: US 1 / 2.25 mm -16” circular needle; US 2 / 2.75 mm -16” circular needle; US 2 / 2.75 mm DPN or long circular for magic loop
Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle
Blocked Gauge: 29 stitches/4”; 33 rows/3”
Blocked Finished Size: Approximately 1” around, unstretched; Approximately 10” from edge to crown
Notes: Pattern is multiple of 10 stitches. I cast-on an extra stitch when I knit in the round, then knit the first and last stitches together when I join them. This eliminates the gap at the beginning of the round.
