In February 2022 I discovered the music of the K-Pop group BTS and I instantly loved their music
which was part of the inspiration for the design of this shawl. The other part of the inspiration was
the beautiful yarn that I found at a local yarn shop.

No matter if you’re a fan of BTS or not this shawl is so pretty, I absolutely love how this design turned
out and I hope you will too!

60-Inch Circular Knitting Needles are recommended (Although all stitches will fit tightly on a 40-Inch circular needle)

I used the ChiaoGoo Twist Interchangeable Knitting Needles with the 5-Inch tips and
a 30-Inch cord attached to a 22-Inch cord with a ChiaoGoo cable connector.

Using the Interchangeable Knitting Needles made changing the needle sizes easy as well as adding
in a lifeline before starting both the colorwork and lace sections of the shawl.

Longtail Cast On Method
Standard Cast Off Method
Knit
Purl
SSK
K2TOG
Yarn Over
Double Yarn Over

(Pattern Includes a colorwork and lace work sections)

Amount of yarn needed is 400 yards of each of the two colors used, 800 yards needed in total.

The colors that were used in the sample shawl are “Purple Reign & Insomnia”.
