This simple beanie design is knit using my favorite method, Brioche Stitch, forming a fluffy and thick fabric that is lightened by the cotton in this gorgeously soft yarn. All sales for this design will be donated to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago to raise money for their marathon team the Team 2 End AIDS (T2EA). The AFC supports HIV prevention, housing initiatives, case management, and many other programs necessary to people living with HIV and AIDS. Through purchasing this pattern you are helping the effort by Knitting 2 End AIDS (K2EA).

The hat comes in one size (18” Bottom Circumference and ~8” Tall), however it is worked on a 10 stitch and 8 row repeat, so resizing shouldn’t be difficult at all. Brioche is very stretchy and can fit lots of ranges of head size.

This pattern uses 2 skeins (one skein each color) of Katia Concept Cotton-Merino. It is knit on 1 16” US size 6 (4.0 mm) needle, and finished with a set of 4 US size 6 (4.0 mm) Double Pointed needles.
