This example is knitted on an SR-155 machine, but the pattern could be used on any chunky-gauge machine with a ribber.

The cuffs, waistband and neckband are K2P2, while the main body is K3P3.

It makes for a quite stretchy garment, and will fit a small to large man, but probably not extra-large, or very thin.

The wool is hand spun, and reversed through the spinner so it’s not tight, but varies in thickness. The gauge is approximately “Example 2, very thick” as shown on page 9 in the SR-155 manual. Probably “Aran” on average.

Ten and a half (approx) 75 gm balls of yarn are used.
