Comfort and style were the inspiration for Kabir, an over-sized cardigan with a generous amount of positive ease that gives it a snug but stylish edge. It’s a nestle up at home or step out in style kind of garment!

The cardigan features stocking stitch for the main body and a reverse, broken rib stitch for the sleeves, bottom edge, front bands and collar. The simple shape of Kabir is offset with a small short row collar and 6/7 buttons.
Sample in green is size XS-S
Sample in rust is size S-M

This design was initially written in four sizes, to fit XS-S, S-M, M-L, L-XL, with fixed instructions for sleeve placement. After test knitting, it became apparent that knitters may choose their own desired width to give more or less positive ease, which in turn meant that the sleeve placement, and the required stitches needed for the sleeves, would change.
To account for this I have included instructions on how to customise the pattern for the individual knitter.
