Kabsa
Kabsa is a traditional, everyday, spiced rice and meat dish originating in Saudi Arabia. It is a one pot meal; easy to put together, and pleasing to everyone. These mitts are named after that dish. Comfort knitting is like comfort food. Also, may I admit that I felt especially clever using rice stitch and naming these after a rice dish?
Finished Measurements: approximately 8 (8.5, 9, 9.75) inches / 20.5 (21.5, 23, 25) cm in circumference
Skills Required: Casting on provisionally, using a three needle bind off, knitting in the round.
Notes: Row gauge is slightly more important than stitch gauge on this pattern. Because you will be knitting back and forth, sideways, to create the body of the mitt, the row size determines the circumference of the mitt. Variation in row gauge may affect how much yarn is needed for the project.
