Named for the longest glacier in scenic Denali National Park, Kahiltna honors the interconnectedness of the peaks, valleys, rivers, and trees in the expansive mountainous region. Kahiltna, Kanikula and Tokositna beanies celebrate the varied colors of autumn in Alaska.

Knit in the round, Kahiltna begins with a corrugated rib brim then transitions to a charted stranded knitting stockinette body. Six colors are used in total with a maximum of two per row. This hat fits snug with a slightly roomy crown.

Notes:
• Choosing color palette - To achieve a similar result as the sample, choose progressively lighter colors for MC, C2, C3, and C4 with darker contrasting colors for C1 and C5.
• Corrugated rib is not stretchy. For a stretchy brim, substitute a standard rib worked in just one color. Also, if you are having trouble working the corrugated rib, try two-handed knitting and experiment to find which hand should hold the purl color.
