Kai B
INFO
Kai B is a triangular shawl inspired by friendship, creativity, and new life. It appropriately has three points: one for the designer, Gretha; one for her knitting friend, Judy of GigglingGecko yarns; and one for Judy’s recently born son, Kai.
The shawl’s rich texture, with alternating bands of ovals and delicate lines, and subtle grey hues are the aesthetic product of this friendship, because the sample shown is made in the ‘Oceaan’ colorway that Judy named after the designer.
In making your own version of Kai, you too can reflect on how the shared experience of knitting brings each of us happy new connections and community.
Kai B has an asymmetrical shape with a built-in I- cord edge and is worked flat from the right tip to the left edge.
The pattern is fully written out with stitch counts and is also charted.
