The pattern includes instructions for the Kaktus dress and the Kaktus camisole. The garments are worked in a seed st rib and have i-cord edges. They are worked top-down, allowing for easy adjustments in length as you go. First, you knit back and forth over the two parts of the front panel. When they are joined, you continue working in the round. The garments have a fitted shape on the upper body. The dress has increases in the waist to create flare over the hips. The garments are designed to be worn all year round and can be worn on their own or layered over or under other garments.

SIZE GUIDE
You should choose the size based on the dress’s chest and waist circumference. It is recommended to have a negative ease of 10 to 15 cm / 4 to 6”, meaning the dress’s measurements should be 10 to 15 cm / 4 to 6” smaller than your own measurements. However, the most important thing is that the ease is negative across your entire upper body to give the dress a fitted shape. The model has a negative ease of 15 cm / 6” in the chest and waist circumference.

Example: If you measure 90 cm / 35.4” around the chest and 75 cm / 29.5” around the waist, you should choose size 3, which provides a negative ease of 15 cm / 6” in chest circumference and 11 cm / 4.3” in waist circumference. But if you measure 90 cm / 35.4” around the chest and 80 cm / 31.5” around the waist, you should choose size 4, which gives a negative ease of 10 cm / 4” in chest circumference and 11 cm / 4.3” in waist circumference.

For the hips, it is recommended to have a positive ease, meaning that the dress’s measurements should be larger than your own. The amount of positive ease needed depends on what you are comfortable wearing. The model has a positive ease of 27 cm / 10.6” over the hips.
