My father was born in Hungary and growing up I always loved the fact that I had a connection to another country. I’ve never visited Hungary and understand essentially 0% of the language, but I’ve always been proud to be half Hungarian.
The inspiration behind this hat are the elements found in Hungarian Folk Art and the pattern is called, ‘Kalap’, because ‘Kalap’ is Hungarian for ‘hat.’
I hope you like the pattern.
