The Kaleidoscope Cowl was designed for Alexandra the Art of Yarn’s KAL. A kit was dyed for it. You can replace Florence with Seal Rock - Seal Pups are the mini skeins out of the same base as Seal Rock.

The Small takes 80% of 2 skeins of Florence (289 yds ea) and about 25% each of the 15 colors of Seal Pup (54 yds ea).
The Large uses about half of the 3rd skein of Florence and 25% of one more mini.

The cowl can work both as a cowl or poncho. The small can fit as a poncho up to about a 42 bust.
Small: 25” at top, 44” at bust, and 23” long.
Large: 30” at top, 49” at bust, and 24” long.

The pattern is easily adjusted and pattern repeats for each stitch patterns.

The cowl is worked from the bottom up. The colors are organized by value and share stripes to blend the colors. In between the stripes is a sampler of fun an unusual stitches. All of the stitches are charted and written.

This is a fun, fairly quick knit - it is knit from the bottom up so you are always decreasing. Great for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters. Have some fun, try some new stitches and if you do not like a stitch - skip it!
