ABOUT THE PATTERN
I wanted to design a small tote with one
handle, while at the same time using up some of the
small balls of yarn I had lying around. I wanted a
cute round shape with a tapered handle. This is a
great bag to experiment with color combinations.
Also – very little sewing required

ABOUT THE YARN

  • Main color - I used Lily Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn, size 4, for the main color of this bag. 2 skeins of main color - If you choose to use a contrast color for the handle, then you should only need one full skein of the main color.
  • Contrast colors - The example in this pattern uses 6 contrast colors. Each one repeats for 2 rounds. Feel free to do something different!
  • Contrast colors - This pattern is designed to use up some of your weight 4 cotton scraps. I have used Lily Sugar’n Cream, I Love This Cotton from Hobby Lobby, and Lion Brand Pima Cotton.
  • Feel free to make whatever pattern with your scraps that you want. I have included some color charts for inspiration
