This nordic style ski hat will liven up any winter attire. Using a boldly contrasting variegated yarn gives a striking effect in the stranded portion of the pattern and the top knot.

The top is gathered, so you don’t have to switch to dpns at the end to finish the crown. You can also pull a ponytail through the top knot.
