If you’d like to get your (gorgeous) yarn at the same time, Kallisti is also available as a kit through Luna Grey Fiber Arts.

Kallisti (most beautiful, a title of Artemis) is a huntress-inspired shawl-cowl hybrid. Part shawl, part cowl, part semi-circle, part triangle, Kallisti begins as a flat semi-circular shawl, but is soon after joined to work in the round and its shaping is switched to form a triangle. The resulting piece is a cowl that drapes nicely around the neck and resembles a wrapped shawl with large-scale bobbles along the border. In bulky weight yarn, Kallisti knits up very quickly, and is easily adapted if you’d like more (or less) length or circumference to cover you as you aim your arrow.

Specific yarn requirements:
Luna Grey Fiber Arts Apollo (100% Merino Wool; 106 yds/ 97 m per 100g); 2 skeins in Emerald
Or, 210 yds/ 190 m of a bulky weight yarn

Needles:
US 11 (8 mm) circular needle, 16-24”/ 40-60 cm long, or size needed to obtain gauge
US 10 (6 mm) circular needle, 24-32”/ 60-80 cm long, or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge:
11 sts & 18 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Stockinette St on larger needles
10 sts = 4”/ 10 cm in bobble pattern on smaller needles
Meeting these exact gauges is not crucial, but any major differences will affect the size of the finished cowl and yardage required.

ERRATA:
10/21/15 -- Pattern should specify that you are to cast on with the larger needles. This has been updated in rev 1 of the pattern.
