This shawl was designed during the 2008 Make 1 Yarn Studio’s Fall Fiber Arts Retreat in the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis in Alberta. Designed and cast-on in Amy Singer’s “Plug and Play Shawl Design” class, the Kananaskis Shawl is a simple rectangular shawl utilizing two lace patterns: one on either edge serving as a border, and the other repeating several times to form the center panel. Because of the nature of the class, I feel a little guilty saying this is “my pattern.” Designing is supposed to be hard, right? Maybe that just says something about Amy’s amazing teaching skills. Either way, I wanted to share the love.
