“Kanarienvogel” (which means “canary” in German) is a little sweater knit top-down in the round, in one piece and with no seaming.
Start by casting-on the stitches for the neckline and work a twisted rib border; the work continues with a series of short rows to raise the back.
The yoke is very full and is knit in a lace stitch and twisted ribs as it is shaped by a series of increases hidden in the stitch pattern.
When the yoke is completed, the stitches for the sleeves are divided from the body and the three pieces are completed separately in stockinette stitch.
The sleeves are short; all of the borders on the body and sleeves are also knit in twisted rib stitch.

“Kanarienvogel” (“canarino” in tedesco) è un maglioncino dalla linea morbida lavorato dall’alto verso il basso in un unico pezzo e in tondo senza cuciture.
