Kangaroo - Pouch Sweater
Pattern description from Knitting Without Tears: “This design emerged in response to pleas for a circular sweater with set-in sleeves. To create an appearance of set-in sleeves without actually sewing them in took some doing; I finally came up with the pouch technique. Here are directions for a 40” sweater at a GAUGE of 5 sts to 1”. For every inch more or less that you want, add or subtract 5 stitches.”
Materials: “You will needle 5-6 skeins of knitting worsted, or any wool which knits up at 5 sts to 1”, a 16” and a 24” circular needle, of a size to give you this GAUGE - somewhere between size 5 and size 8.”
This pattern may be found in chapter 5 of Knitting Without Tears on pages 83-87.
