薫 Kaoru 薫 fragrant

Kaoru’s chain stitch and picot central motif builds out to an open mesh with a sprinkling of clusters. The Small Version is a single, short loop designed to work through the color progression in a single ball of Freia Ombre Fingering. The Large Version is a long loop which can be wrapped around the neck twice. The design works equally well with mini-skeins, left-overs, solid-colored or variegated yarns.

The Moebius construction allows the colors to build from the center out, mirrored to the border. The piece starts with a long string of chain stitches and picots. Finishing is minimal.

Adventurous beginner to intermediate skill level.
U.S. Terminology is used throughout.
Written instructions and charts are included.
