Cardigan size is defined by yarn weight and needle size. The number of stitches is the same for all sizes. For size XS/S I recommend 6mm needles and cotton yarn 50g/125-130m (for example, YarnArt Simphony, Gazzal Giza, Drops loves you), for size M/L – 7mm needle and yarn 50g/115-125m (for example, Lana Grossa Promessa, Gazzal Organic baby cotton, Lana Grossa Riserva) and for size XL/2XL I recommend 8mm needles and yarn 50g/100 m (for example, Concept Duomo by Katia, Drops Muskat, Drops Cotton Light)

Construction. Cardigan is worked bottom up back and forth until the armholes. Then knitting is divided to front and back pieces. Next the armholes are worked to indicated length, the shoulders, and a neckline. The sleeves are worked from the picked-up stitches along the armholes. A collar is knitted from the picked-up stitches along the neckline. Finally, a zipper is sewed in. The cardigan is oversized with straight sleeves.

Original yarn: Lana Grossa Promessa (70% cotton, 30% pa) 50g/125m (Colour 015).

Alternative yarn: cotton, cotton blends with a suitable yardage 50g/100-130m.

Required amount of yarn: XS/S – 300 g, M/L – 360 g, XL/2XL – 450 g. (please refer to the sizes guidance described above).

Needles: 3,5/4/4,5 mm – 6/7/8 mm (circular needles 40cm/80-100cm).
